This week in my PR Publications class we were asked to choose an organization we were interested in, we will then be designing a business-card and letterhead for that organization. I chose to use my brother’s new and upcoming business in Durant, Oklahoma called “Midnight Offroad.” After considering different organizations, I felt this would be the most interesting one since it is just now getting started and hasn’t had that much exposure. I will be the first person to focus on the different strategies for promoting his business. Midnight Offroad has hardly any exposure and the only publication done was done by the business-owner himself. Hopefully, at the end, my work will not only be a learning experience for me but also be beneficial for Midnight Offroad.
- What is your organization’s mission–the service or product it sells? The mission is to provide service for those looking to add a little spice to their vehicles. Taylor Herron is known in his town for buying factory jeeps then adding flavor to them by adding wheels, lift-kits, and LED lighting. After years of installing LED lighting on jeeps himself, he realized he could profit even more by starting his own LED lighting company.
- Who are its main competitors? Midnight Offroad’s main competitors will be K & D’s Customs and Exploration Outfitters. K & D and E.Os are both local car installation shops that supply a variety of accessories to personalizing vehicles.
- What are your organization’s most dominant attitudes and core values? Midnight Offroad’s carries a lot of attitude with its passion and excitement towards helping customers bring their imagination to life. Midnight Offroad values customer service and goes beyond means to meet their client’s expectations. Taylor does every assigned job as a perfectionist in order to make sure that every vehicle he works on is seen as unique and flawless.
