Research-Analyzing Organization
In my PR Publications course, we are going to be designing a business card and letter head for an organization of our choice. I chose Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children because I was a Junior Volunteer for 5 summers. I had the opportunity to work in all areas of the hospital, creating a deep love for TSRHC, the employees, and most importantly, the children. In this specific post, I am identifying what makes TSRHC unique from its various “competitors” in the health care industry, its mission statement and core values.
This non-profit hospital is the #1 hospital for pediatric orthopedics in the country and plans to remain in the leading position. Since TSRHC is unmatched, there are not necessarily “competitors.” Conversely, it depends highly on the recommendation from a physician or the type of attention and specialization the child needs. Children’s Medical Center and Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children are the two leading pediatric hospitals in the state of Texas, each resting on different ends of the spectrum (this spectrum happens to deal with expertise.) It simply comes down to what hospital is ideal for the patient and his/her family.
TSRHC is dedicated to the health and happiness of their patients, and claims to be guided by what is best for every child. As I said previously, this hospital is a world leader in the treatment of pediatric orthopaedic conditions, certain neurological disorders, and learning disorders such as dyslexia. Scottish Rite is able to portray their 7 core values: Legacy, Integrity, Respect, Family-Centered, Quality, Stewardship and Learning through doctors, volunteers, and overall environment of the hospital.
