Stakeholder
At my PR Publications class we are learning the basic tools in Photoshop and InDesign. On my previous blogs, I guided you though the developing skills I acquired through InDesign. I designed a whole business card and letterhead for World Literature Today, an international magazine where I am a public relations intern.
After finishing the business cards and letterhead project, it is time to use gain new skills. This week we are moving on to using Photoshop. The class is required to design two direct mailers for OU Recruitment Services. The main thing to keep in mind for this assignment is to consider the differences in each stakeholders. The better I am able to understand my stakeholders, the more successful I will be with my message.
Taking in Mind Stakeholders
The first stakeholder I chose were North American female students ages 12 to 16 who thinking about their future career. The bases for advance placement classes in math and science starts at this age. I want to have a direct mailer to empower this female students to take those classes and prepare themselves for a career in the STEM fields. Through the direct mailer, I want this public to visualize themselves in those careers.
The second stakeholder I have chosen is high school seniors with an annual income of equal or less than $70,000, who have an interest in the University of Oklahoma. For this group, one of the things they have in mind when applying to a higher education institution is the cost. I want to remind them of the scholarship deadline application for the university. My main concern is to let them know that they must apply by the deadline to have an opportunity for all the university scholarships.
I will use this information to design my direct mailers.
