Stakeholder
This week for my PR Pubs class I am defining a second stakeholder for my Direct Mailer; however, I already defined two stakeholders last week when I was technically only supposed to define one (sorry, I got a little excited with my stakeholders!) Anyways, I’m moving over my second stakeholder from that blog post to here, and I’m also going to adjust them a wee bit.
Here is the edited version of my second stakeholder:
Stakeholder #2:
2. OU alumni, child in high school accepted to OU, income above $50,000, living out of state
What’s more special than continuing a family tradition? A major, major, MAJOR influencer of student’s who attend Universities is their parents. There’s really no big argument there. In most situations (not all, I am aware many students pay their own way through college) parents help their children with the cost of higher education. Again, I am focusing my direct mailers on out of state specifically. I think this will be a good angle for me to use considering my parents are from out of state, and although neither of my parents attended OU, my dad’s entire family is in Oklahoma and there’s just something special about being in this state for my family. I need to really hit the hearts of these alumni and maybe if the message gets across to them they will encourage their child to consider OU. I think this would be a really fun stakeholder to use. In addition, this stakeholder’s child has already been accepted to OU. This ties directly into my first stakeholder, an out of state high school senior already accepted to OU.
