Stakeholder
Second Stakeholder
One of the things I wished were more advertised is the STEM majors among young girls. For that reason, I have chosen this stakeholder for my second direct mailer design.
On the last few posts I updated you with my public relations class. This week, the class will continue to work on the design of direct mailers from the University of Oklahoma. During the last classes I also learned the importance of keeping in mind the audience and its demands. The more one understands the differences in the needs of each stakeholder, the better focused a design will be, ultimately, making it more efficient for its use.
This are the characteristics I will use for my decisions on the design:
Stakeholder: U.S. Girls ages 14-17
I chose this public because it is the time where decisions on classes start to become more based on the individual. I also know that the direct mailer has to be more eye-catching in order for this group to look at it. At this stage, students are contemplating the idea of majors and “dream” careers. I want them to look at the direct mailer and consider at least learning more about a career in the STEM field.
More importantly, I want this mailer to create a sense of curiosity and awareness of the different STEM careers for them.
