Stakeholder

For my PR publications course, we were asked to identify a stakeholder for our target audience of our direct mailers.

For my prospective students that I would like to target, I have the idea that I want to make OU known as a diverse community.  I think we should expand on our community in terms of race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, etc.

I think obvious stakeholders in this situation would be parents of prospective students. I would say we could target parents of 17-19 year olds that are of races other than white or identify themselves as LGBQT. I think the world is changing more and more every single day and OU needs to capitalize on that. We need to branch out to people that don’t even know if they would be accepted in a college community like OU. These are my thoughts on brainstorming for a stakeholder.
