Study Spot

Typically people might think of the bizz or a grassy knoll on the south oval as the best study spots on campus, but I know better. Finding your favorite classroom after hours is the best way to get in the zone and stay that way. It’s somewhere that you feel comfortable and focused. Take a friend or even go alone and set up. Get to work on what you need to do and I promise that you will feel so much more accomplished than studying in a spot with all of the other students on campus.

Having quiet is vital for me to get my work done. The bizz is always packed with students listening to their music too loud through their headphones, group projects being discussed, or sometimes people just having social hour in the library. It’s always frustrating when you go to the library for peace and quiet and are greeted with just the opposite. Sitting outside on a pretty day can be relaxing but who can deal with the distractions of friends and the many other students walking by?

Next time you’re in a classroom and you just feel that calm and focus you are always looking for when it’s study time, remember you can study there when classes aren’t happening. For me, finding the classrooms in Price College of Business that have the swivel chairs and long tables are great because I can layout all of my stuff without having to worry about leaving room for other students. I have never been interrupted in one of these classrooms so I feel like it has been a successful study place for me.
