Summary of Learning
This week in my public relations publications course we have started to wind down our long semester of learning. We were asked to go back and read through our previous posts about this course on our websites. I took this time also to update and renovate my website. I was just not happy with the way it looked before this overhaul. I am now happy to say I would not be disappointed if a future employer saw my website.
I have been going over my plan of attack for this final project. I have chosen to use Canva as my medium for creating this final project. As much as I love the idea of a video, I really strongly dislike the sound of my own voice, so this was not the best option for me. I work well in Canva and feel confident in my ability to produce a final product that I will love.
I definitely need to do some more research and looking around before I can start this final project. I like the idea of telling my story so I do not think I need to plan too much about my final project. When I am in my design flow I tend to change things around until I like them. So committing to a certain design now just does not appeal to me.
I feel like I have a great opportunity to take advantage of this reflection process to see how much I have learned throughout this semester. I think that reading through my own posts has shown me how to be more confident in what I am producing.
As I begin to think about where I will take my domain after this semester concludes I have big dreams and I have small dreams. I want to perfect my design elements more and make the whole look of the website cohesive. I would love to include a category or a page about the places I have traveled in my lifetime. I would also like to include a page where my video editing skills can be displayed because I am obsessed with editing footage from my GoPro. I may even turn this into a full on lifestyle blog one day. As for now I would love to use it as a place to express my creative side, but I would also like this to be a platform for potential employers.
