Summary of Learning
This semester has taught me so much and even though it had its ups and downs (especially losing unsaved work, thanks to my computer) it has by far been one of my favorite JMC classes I have been apart of. It showed me how to work through different programs like Indesign and Photoshop but also showed me to new programs like Canva and even WordPress.
For the final project I chose to use two different mediums: an infographic and a short film. I didn’t have that experience on putting together an infographic so I figured this was my opportunity to tackle some uncovered ground. Canva was my favorite program to work through in this course because it gives you different themes and ideas to choose from in which you can elaborate on.
I knew automatically after we were given the option to work through iMovie I would conduct a short video. I love videos and lets face it with the Internet becoming a growing trend short videos are the future to marketing. Also it gives you the advantage to see the number of people you have reached. Video is my most powerful tool!
I took a chance and added footage that I knew college students around my age could relate to, especially in Norman, Oklahoma. I want it to be fun but also a channel where viewers can learn more information about the great class of PR pubs. Personally, when I think about enrolling in a class it’s never the most exciting thing but the fact of the matter is this class gives everyone the chance to make it as exciting or as boring as they want it to be. The final is going to be my favorite project because I really enjoy putting together clips that make help moments come back alive with a click of a button. I aim to create a summary of learning that is fun and exciting so viewers can get a taste of what this PR pubs class is about!
