Summary of Learning Project Reflection
The day is finally here…. below you will find my final project for PR Pubs. I chose to create an infographic to present my summary of learning for this course. The infographic shows a week by week path (but skips a few here and there where we didn’t have physical drafts or completed works to turn in) of what I have learned to create over the past 16 weeks.
I wanted to do an infographic because I love the program Canva and also because I have always found infographics interesting and fun to look at. This project represents hard work, lots of new knowledge and skills gained, how I feel about the course ending, and finally it represents closure for the course.
I chose to showcase each draft and final work I did over the semester so I show how my skills developed. I chose to write little blurbs of text to go with what we did each week so people who view this will know what it was for but also so I don’t forget why I did what I did. I chose the calm spring-time colors for the design elements because the reflect my mood- I am content with the course being over but also happy with how everything turned out. Finally, it brings me and the viewers of it closure because it progresses from week 1 to week 16 when the course ends.
As for a few last reflections, I never thought I would feel so comfortable working with design elements and design programs, but a few weeks of practice and I now feel like I can take on just about anything (at least anything in the beginner to intermediate level.) I’m glad I got over my fears of InDesign and Photoshop and even Canva, and I am proud of my work from the last 16 weeks. Now I just need to make sure I keep playing with these programs so I won’t forget how to use them!
Without further adue, here is the four section long infographic and after that is a screencast that I recorded which covers and explains the elements of the infographic even further.
