that’s a rap direct mailers!
Draft 1: Stakeholder: Texas high school senior, accepted to OU but not committed
Draft 2: Stakeholder: Parents of Texas high school senior who has been accepted to OU but not committed
Reflection:
1. How has your first stakeholder help define your second stakeholder?
My first stakeholder is influenced strongly by my second stakeholder. All high school graduates rely on their parents advice, guidance and direction when it comes to picking a university. For an out-of-state institution, this reliability is even greater. Costs and tuition fees are greater therefore the parents play an intricate and huge role in the decision.
2. Has your design changed since the last draft? What influenced the changes?
Yes, I tried to appeal to an older audience in the second draft. Students want the experience while parents want the facts. I changed the “slogan” on the second stakeholder direct mailer to appeal more to my audience.
3. What similarities and differences have you found between Photoshop and InDesign?
Both can manipulate an image or text but just in different ways. I am starting to get used to Photoshop and like how I can pick a layer and change just that text or image opposed to the entire publication. InDesign is better for newsletters and brochures but Photoshop does a better job altering photos. I enjoyed playing around with Photoshop!
