The Final Countdown
It is here, the last week of PR Pubs and my life as junior in college. This class has been one of my absolute favorites because I can walk away knowing I learned things that I will need in my preferred career field and that is the most satisfying things you can say after a college course.
For our final project, the summary of learning, I chose to create a flyer for this course that will show students the main purpose behind the class. It is meant to allow each student to describe what they have learn over the past 15 weeks. I wanted to do something that allowed me to show how much I have learned during pubs but I decided that I would rather use my favorite program, canvas, not because it is easier to design something but because it really allows you to make quality work and especially quality posters. I could have made a hundred posters on how much I loved this course and my opinions about it, but it came easily when I only wrote about the programs and things we created during the course, which I felt would be the most important thing to showcase because so many students on campus want to know how to use Photoshop and InDesign. I only used the main points of the class but tried to still show a large summary of everything you get the chance to do. Thinking of my audience was simple because of how often we had to decide our target audience during the semester and I knew it would be sophomore and juniors public relation majors who would look at this flyer the most.
Overall, I am happy with almost all of my projects this semester and am thankful for the experience this course has given me. Having an understanding of these programs is a skill that is needed in the field of PR and I hope I can show that I learned so much through this course through my summary of learning, or at least show that I learned not to use to many fonts and colors!
