The Final Reflection
For my final Summary of Learning project I did an adventure/ overcoming fear of Pubs theme. That is how PR Pubs was for me.. kind of a scary but rewarding adventure. I was nervous because I had tried Photoshop in high school and was horrible at it & I had heard InDesign was one tough cookie. The first “boot camp” was terrifying. I literally said to myself, “I want to kill Lynda.” But everything turned around when Croom went through assignments with us step by step, reassuring us everything was going to be ok if we took a deep breath and let go of being a “perfectionist.” I remember in one of our first class meetings he said, “I would be horrible too if I went and took a ballet class.” That really put things into perspective for me. No one is going to be great at something new right away. Soon I realized the basics of InDesign and Photoshop weren’t really that hard. I am NO expert by any means but I can do way more now and have a lot to show for it. This class has put me through a whirl wind of emotions but it is definitely top 5 favorite classes I have taken at OU. I have learned so much and have actual samples to take with me when applying for jobs here very soon.
