The First of Many Business Cards
This past week we worked on business cards for the first time and I have to say, I am a fan. We were supposed to research an organization, find its competitors and its strengths and create a business card.
At first, I was a little confused about the assignment, mainly because it took me a little while to think of an organization. But, once we got started, it was very fun! Of course, getting back into the swing of using InDesign took a little bit of time, but it was so much easier this time than previous weeks. Designing the business card itself was not necessarily “hard” but it required time to balance all the text and make sure the card was readable and appealing.
This assignment is over and I have a business card, but I am not sure if I like it very much. As a student who is actively looking for internships, I have picked up a lot of business cards this past semester and they have all looked really cool. I’m not sure if the business card I created is very appealing or eye catching at all. This being said, the fonts on mine all match (as best as I could) and I think it is legible, so maybe it can pass as a good business card. At least I have this knowledge to make myself an amazing card in the future.
