The front lawn
The front lawn of Pi Beta Phi is my favorite place on OU’s campus. Pi Phi’s lawn is at its finest in the spring. The grass turns green, colorful flowers are planted, girls are hammocking between the house’s pillars and laying on blankets in the grass. Last spring, I played kickball on the front lawn with some of my friends, while the rest of them worked on homework or read a book. College is demanding and overwhelming, but Pi Phi’s lawn is good for the soul- a place of rest, refreshment, and freedom to be a kid if you so desire. Sometimes we just need a break from reality, and Pi Phi’s front lawn is the perfect place to do just that.
