The Summary of Learning

*Fake movie synopsis*

The film tells the story of Jenny, a 21 year old college student, who has no idea how to design a business card.  Follow this confused girl as she attempts to understand design software and make a publication for a client.  Watch the journey of how a design goes from a rough draft to a final publication.

I decided to summarize my time in this class with an iTrailer that has a coming of age story style.  This is due to me attempting so many new things in this class and finding myself completely out of my element.  Also, I consider myself a pretty technology-challenged person, so maybe this coming of age story is me finally getting to grips with the digital age.  Whatever the reason, it was a lot of fun to make and I’m glad I chose this medium. However,  I did have some trouble with getting audio to play in the clip at the end.

I feel like I’ve grown a lot in this class.  I will not be so intimidated if someone asks me to design something.  I feel like I have a few more skills that I can add to my resume now!  I like that this class chose to have blog style writing because they were all very fun to write. But I probably won’t want my future employers to see these posts since they detail so many of my struggles!  This class was a good starting point to learn some basic design knowledge and over the summer I hope to use Lynda.com to keep learning!
