Trouble in the Middle East

Having Mike Boettcher come and speak to our class last week was incredibly informative. I knew that the situation in the Middle East was not the best, but watching the footage and hearing his stories really opened my eyes to the struggle and violence going on right under our noses. It makes me realize that Americans are not enough aware of these happenings and that we must start paying attention and listening to those who have literally been on the front lines. This presentation from Mr. Boettcher has also helped me to realize how important the field of journalism is and how impacting it is when it is factual and not biased. I am so happy that we were privileged enough to host Mr. Boettcher in our class and am so thankful for his service to our country and the service of all the other men and women fighting for our freedom.
