Typesetting
This week we were asked to recreate a file on InDesign by looking at it, and only being given the details on font types. We were given the font type, sizes and spacing apart, but that was it. We had to create different lines, paragraphs, headlines, cutlines and more.
At first, I thought it would be fairly easy just recreating the file but once I got started I realized it was going to take longer than expected. Remembering everything from bootcamp was challenging and I ended up googling more than I thought I would. Once I realized it was going to take longer I knew I needed to plan my time accordingly.
In regards to reacting, I started getting more frustrated with myself for not remembering every step to recreate the file. Especially after working on it a few days later, I learned that’s not the best way to complete the different assignments. I think I felt this way because I can tend to be a perfectionist, and I thought I knew InDesign fairly well already to the point where this assignment would be a breeze, but it wasn’t.
