Typography
The three games that I enjoyed playing the most were Poster Letters, Type War, and Shoot the Serif. I enjoyed the Poster Letters game the most because I enjoy watching movies. I thought that I would achieve greater success at the game than I did, but I still had fun. It made me think and I tried my best not to use the cheat sheet provided. Type War was not as fun, but definitely one of the more helpful games. The first time I played the game, I cheated and would check the letters in the particular font provided in order to choose the correct one. Towards the end, I tried to cheat less and figure it out on my own. It helped me recognize more fonts and decipher between serif, non-serif, etc. Shoot the Serif was the last game that I played that I enjoyed. This game was really helpful when having to decide which font was serif and which was not. These games were a good introduction to font recognition. It will definitely come in handy when using indesign, wordpress, and photoshop not only this semester, but in the future as well.
