Typography

For our second assignment of the week, we got to play some typography games. I’m not going to lie, I really enjoyed them (even though I really sucked at most of them). The first typography game I played was Poster Letters.

In Poster Letters, you try to match the letter to movie poster. By far, I thought this was the hardest one. I successfully entered Shrek and Bugs Life. I am a failure. Besides that, it was a fun game; however, I recommend brushing up on your movie posters before going toe-to-toe with Poster Letters.

The next game I played was Type War. Now this game could possibly turn into one of those addicting games that drive me crazy but I can’t stop playing. The goal of game is to correctly answer what font the displayed letter is. The game gives you two options and you pick the option you think is right. What makes this game addicting is that it is a compounding score depending on how many fonts in a row you get right. I will be returning to this game soon.

The last game I played was Shot the Serif (punny right?). Anyway, I was undoubtedly the best at this game. If you can tell your serifs from san-serifs you are golden. Once you get that down, it is a fast-paced and fun game.

Overall, I would recommend all of these games to anyone looking for a fun game to play or if you want to brush up on your typography skills. Hope you enjoyed the post!
