The last time I had the opportunity to play games online for a class was probably in middle school. So I was quite excited when I read that we would be playing games this week for one of our assignments. When I found out that the games involved identifying fonts I was not too excited because I am very loyal to Times New Roman. But being a competitive person I decided to try my best.

Shoot the Serif was the first game I had played and found it to be the most enjoyable of all three that I chose. I think the game being timed put pressure on me to work more quickly to identify the correct fonts. The added gun shot sounds to this game made it a little more exciting when I shot the right letters. My high score was nothing too impressive but I feel like if I played this game more I would be able to shoot more correct letters in a shorter amount of time.

The second game that I played was The Empire Poster Quiz. I have learned from this game that I am not well educated in the world of movies. I really enjoyed the challenge of this game but was only able to successfully find about five of the correct answers. This in turn hurt my A-type personalities ego and I was definitely not pleased with my knowledge of movie titles. This game was fun and challenging which I enjoyed.

The final game that I played was KernType. This game was quite challenging. I am not too good with my spacing especially when it is on a computer so this was difficult for me. I thought that it was interesting to see how different fonts have different spacing for certain letters. I really liked seeing how the more cursive fonts
had letters that were closer together than the other fonts. I think that one can learn a lot about a variety of fonts from playing this game.
