So, I’m not going to lie.. These games were a blast. Even though I think I am a little computer game challenged, I managed to play each of them and can truly say I learned something from these simple games.

Shoot the Serif was hilarious because I was sitting in one of my classes playing this game and it got my blood pumpin’! I think I was distracting the people around me. Oh well.. No shame. As you can see from my results, I would get a really high score and then of course start to pick the wrong letters. (Hence why my highest score was 56). It was making me so determined, I couldn’t pay much attention in class. Great game, very addicting! I truly can say I learned the difference between Serif and Sans Serif!

So now for Type War…

Once again, this game was extremely addicting and a bit frustrating. I could have sworn I was choosing the right font and then it would say WRONG! (I didn’t make it too far). However, it was a great game to learn about certain fonts. Times New Roman and Verdana were the two that I could never figure out the difference between. I even had a friend sit there and play with me one time and we were so determined to go on a winning streak! This was a fun game.

Lastly, Kern Type..

Every time I would fix the spacing between the letters I think to myself, “Okay this spacing is perfect.” Nope.. I was wrong! For every word my spacing was a little off. My overall score was not very good. I think I’ve leaned I’m not very good at dealing with font names, sizes, and spacing. Oh well.. There is always room for improvement right? I believe so!
