Typography

My experience playing the typography games was very positive. I had a lot of fun learning about the different fonts and seeing how even the most similar can be so different. Playing these games really gives you an appreciation for the people who create fonts and understand the nuances behind each one. I liked the idea of playing the games because they were all very interactive and I feel like I definitely learned more from them than if I had just read about it in a book. I played all of the games besides the movie one, because I could not get it to load on my computer, and my favorite by far was ‘I Shot the Serif’. I love games where you have to do something fast to beat the clock so I found myself yelling and the screen and frantically clicking the serif fonts. I can’t believe how frustrated I would get when I accidentally clicked one that was sans-serif, so that was a lot of highly silly fun.
