Typography Games…

Going into these games I was expecting to be a lot better at them then I was.  The I shot the Serif was one of the more enjoyable games.  Between the time decreasing and more letters appearing, it took me a decent amount of tries to get to the advanced level.

In the Typographic Dating Game, I MADE A SUCCESSFUL MATCH!  Never thought pairing different types of fonts would create a romance, but at least mine was successful.  I combined Archer and Eurostile.  This pairing worked because Eurostile is thick and compact, while Archer is lighter weight and taller.  The pair combines into intentional curves according to the website.

The poster quiz was my favorite game.  Not only did it test my font knowledge but my movie knowledge as well.  I pride myself on seeing movies all of the time, but after playing this game I have some more movies to rent.  This game definitely shows the importance of typography in design.
