Typography Games

For this assignment, I chose to play Shoot the Serif, Type Connection, and Kern Type.

Shoot the Serif was much more difficult than I anticipated as the game went on. At first, it was very easy to pick out the serif font, but as the game progressed, that changed. It was interesting to see what all different types of font qualify as serif fonts.

For Type Connection, I was pleasantly surprised with my ability to choose compatible fonts. Of the four matches I made, all four were correct.

My experience with Kern Type was similar to Type Connection–I was surprised at the acuity of my eye to judge correct spacing. My overall final score was only 87/100, but I got several 100/100 scores as well.
