Website Action Plan

Creating and maintaining this website has become extremely beneficial to me. Not only have I gained knowledge in website management, but I also now have a place to display my work and ideas. Although I created this website as a requirement for my PR Publications course at OU, I know that I will continue to use it as a professional tool. I will probably delete most of the posts from the PR Pubs assignments, but will continue to use the blog feature to show off my other work, and maybe even use it for professional blogging.

Blogging is not something I had done before this class, but it is something I want to continue. I think it is beneficial in improving writing skills, for since I usually write for papers or assignments, now I can focus on practicing writing for online readers. I think it will be fun and interesting to see where this blogging skill can take me.

Since first creating the site, I have added many pages. Some of these are an “about” page, an “experience” page, and a “contact” page. I think these can really come in handy when I apply for internships and jobs in the future. Not only will it be a place to show off my work and accomplishments, but it will also show that I have the necessary skills to run a website as well.
