Week 4 Reflection

 

This week the class was asked to choose a business and do a little bit of research on them in order to produce a business card for them. We were to research the company and develop a draft business card that would fit the company’s image.

I chose a global PR firm and researched their company by looking up the company’s history, clients, mission statement, goals, objectives, and vision.  Through designing a mood board and inspiration board, I came up with a design template that I thought was fitting for my company of choice.

After completing my draft, and comparing it to the company’s website and past work for clients, I think I made an appropriate business card that fits in well with the company’s public image and values.

I had a very positive reaction to my work because I actually think I did well in my business card design. I think I did well enough to the point where I can actually see the company using my business card as an actual template for their employees. Of course I think I could improve my design, but especially as a draft design, I feel like my design turned out well.

**For some strange reason, my file wouldn’t save correctly. My business card was saving, but the color I applied on my business card wouldn’t save, which affected my entire design because my font was white. So just to make sure I get credit for my work, I save a copy of my business card in my student folder so you could access it and I took pictures of the computer screen so I could add an image to post. **
