You’re never too old
So for this week in PR Pubs, we were suppose to play some typography games to help us learn the different fonts.
My personal favorite, Type War, was all too addicting. It shows you a single letter example and then you’re suppose to be able to answer what font that letter comes from. Here’s a little example for you non-typography playing game types that have no idea what I am referring to.
now doesn’t that look fun? I assure you, it is.
I’m going to go ahead and link it as well for those of you who are interested: http://typewar.com/
Next, I decided to play shoot the serif. This is one for all you adrenaline junkies out there. You suppose to shoot all the serif fonts while racing against the clock that is ticking down on the side of your screen.
here’s another screen shot and link: http://www.tothepoint.co.uk/more/fun/shoot_the_serif/
Finally, I chose to end this little gaming experience by playing a typography dating game. yes, dating game. This game makes you first pick a main character to “match.” I, myself, went with ITC Century. Then, it makes you choose a strategy for finding the match to your character and once you do that you set your character up and see if they match with the selected mate. Fun, right?
I think its love.
