Introduction

My favorite spot on campus is inside Holmberg Hall. I chose this as my favorite location because it is where University Sing and Sooner Scandals takes place each semester. University Sing and Sooner Scandals are two University of Oklahoma traditions that I am very passionate about and involved with. Being a part of these events […]

My Favorite Place on Campus

Many people feel that Dale Hall is crusty and outdated. Students often forgo classes in Dale Hall for classes in nicer, newer buildings like Gould or Gaylord when possible. Dale Hall is pretty old. It isn’t much to look at from the outside. The bathrooms inside are less than ideal. Technology in classrooms there doesn’t […]

My Favorite Place On Campus

OU’s beautiful campus is full of interesting places. The nooks and crannies of the “Cherokee Gothic” North Oval and the vast South Oval afford something for everyone. However, my favorite campus spot isn’t on the ovals; it’s L. Dale Mitchell Park, home to the Oklahoma Sooners baseball team. Baseball has been my favorite sport since […]

Jones, Fred Jones

I am not an art major. I can’t paint, draw, sculpt, or doodle that well, but my favorite place on campus is the Fred Jones Art Museum. There are many reasons why it’s my favorite spot at OU. One of which being that it’s free. In college you learn so much,…

If you could study in an Apple Store — why wouldn’t you?

First impressions die hard. So when a space conveys full-force professionalism, a calm and inviting ambiance and a dash of whimsy, I’m typically hooked. The Center for the Creation of Economic Wealth’s glistening new office at the University of Oklahoma’s research campus commanded respect and immediately felt like home — a golden welcome. Expansive glass surfaces, flocks of whiteboards and original artwork herald each new visitor as if to trumpet: “Welcome to the most innovative day of your life.” Admittedly, the description does conjure up images of an academic Apple Store….read more

Home Away From Home

Hello all! A perfect way to start this Wednesday morning is to remind myself how thankful I am for this home away from home, Kappa Kappa Gamma. I’ve always been a super homesick person. Coming all the way from Tyler, Texas to Norman was a huge struggle for me. I never would have thought that […]

Where the Journey Begins

It’s difficult to choose my favorite place on The University of Oklahoma’s campus seeing as the main reason I chose this university is for its overall beauty. I have memories in so many places across campus that stretch from the North Oval to the South Oval. However, if I had to choose one I would choose Jacobson Hall. Entering OU […]

a place to hideaway

Although the scenery and architecture of the OU campus is breathtaking , my favorite spot on campus stands in the shadows of this beauty. It sits off of Boyd Street and beckons any bystanders attention. What spot may this be you ask? The one and only, Hideaway Pizza. Since I am a native Houstonian, Hideaway Pizza […]

My Great Study Spot

To some people, the Bizzell Library seems like an ordinary library that isn’t any different from other libraries. Those same people have probably never stepped inside the Bizz. The Bizzell Library is not only my favorite study spot, but it is also my favorite building on OU’s campus. From the multiple stacks of aged books, to […]
